Lunch in the Park

It's nice to do something different and nature is good for the soul and for inspiration, so I thought I would go down to the nearby park with my colleague for lunch. She jogged like a maniac and I walked and wrote in my new journal and read some. Then I got pestered by some ballsy squirrels. I might make this a regular/daily routine - especially if it means I eat less and sit at my computer less and walk and read more.

  1. Asalaamu alaykum -
I, too, have got to get outside more often. I seem to go in streaks - one month I'll be out practically every day, the next month I will barely crack a windowshade. But it's so good for me to be out walking - especially with the pregnancy. All I have to remember is that I have never gone for a walk and regretted it - I've only regretted the NOT going.

Hope you have some more days like today was!

  2. Assalam-alaikam Sister,
I agree its good to walk when you're pregnant, I did so every day when I was expecting my first child and I think it helped with delivery cause of all of the strength the walking gave me. Plus it was about the only excercise I could do.

Nature is so soothing that I think it's good for the mum and the baby that way too

  3. Asalaamu alaykum -

Okay, great...so how do I get the motivation to go do it?!!! That is my biggest problem!

  4. Good thing you had the camera in the bag sis , nice pictures. Walking in pregnacy is good for easy delivery i have heard to mashaAllah.

  5. i have to leave the office everyday and havent' only on a handful of occassions-the day isn't right if i haven't had a least 10mins of walking during lunch
