Some Good News

Readers of my little sisters two blogs (Harlequin Tea Set and Kapray Shapray) will have noticed she has announced (here and here) that she is getting married later this year. So ensues a flurry of planning, organizing, making lists, budgeting and making ideas and images that pop into our heads reality.

I am trying to get ahead with organizing my families outfits and have a few bits I have found:

(Sneak peak of my outfit for the henna).

Slowly the colour themes and ideas are coming together for décor and outfits and the to-do lists are starting to get ticked off. So insh’Allah lots of fun for the ladies, lots of getting kicked out for the men, so they can wonder why all of the women are laughing so hard and lots of good food insh’Allah.

Funnily enough, when my sister got married last year, the good news came all together, my aunty had a beautiful little girl just before the wedding, I had Darling not long after and my brothers lovely little girl was born not long after that, so Alhamdulillah it was a year of celebration and immense gratitude to Allah (SWT) for us. This time we have another wedding, and possibly some more good news to share closer to the time. I am so excited, but will have to contain my excitement until nearer the time when we have confirmation of more good news.

As always, please remember us in your dua’s and I pray that Allah (SWT) showers his blessings and mercy on all of my brothers and sisters insh’Allah

    1. Assalam-alaikam,
Jazakh'Allah-khairun for your comment. Every one of us has our challenges and our tests to bear from Allah (SWT). My family have had to deal with family deaths, miscarriages, financial difficulty and the kidnapping of my uncle in Pakistan. All of this in the context of very difficult family relationships (my extended family could write a text book on passive aggressive behaviour, stirring and taking offence where non is intended). I tend not to write about all of that squabbling because it is of no use to anyone and because I am fearful it will become back-biting.
The thing that has made the difference is our beautiful faith which teaches us how to live in the best way and conduct our relationships even with the most difficult people. It helps that my sisters are strong people with a sensible head and despite our very different personalities we work hard to do our best by each other.
Finally, I believe in having a positive attitude and being grateful in very situation. Sometimes easier said than done for sure, but it's kind of just the way I am, my default I guess :)

I don't know what your situation is, but I make dua that Allah (SWT) blesses you with every good and beautiful thing in this life and the next insh'Allah and us too :)

Jazak'Allah Khair for your response, but as you said in you concluding paragraphs, easier said than done as you are lucky to be blessed with marriage which makes everything else seem secondary.
